Its crazy because software had no problem at first now it is but what I figured in short Apple/MAC is not budging and neither is Pro Tools which leaves NI newest Software not to work right.but PT say 64 BIT AAX is OK. Upgrade to Pro Tools Subscription or License which will give the Pro Tools 12/2018. So uninstalling and changing profile did not remove all pro 1.4 system information. But even though I had uninstalled Pro 1.4, my computer knew what colour scheme I last used and my recent projects. downgrade MAC OS, which in turn if use MK3 Hardware (HW) your MK3 HW wont work "properly". Dan, I tried resetting my application profile as suggested but that did not work. This problem exists because the 003 control surface drivers for each version of Pro Tools don’t play nicely together. Because only PT 12 (full version) and 2018 will see Maschine 2.X+ as dropdown plugin. As of If you’re running the Pro Tools Co-Install with PT 11 and PT 10.3.x, you may find that your 003 control surface isn’t working correctly any more or it won’t show up.

My situation is how I found this I have PT 10 and 11 w/4yr fee update with 11HD SW (no HD CARD or equal to run though) since MK3 HW had to update MAC OS (Main Point, this is only with MAC OS and PT this is a problems NOT WINDOWS) to use MK3 HW, which automatically made Pro Tools become obsolete to Macshine Plugin (in dropdown window) and Pro Tools working together. But when you update OS only Pro Tools 12 and HD systems (not 12.X installer or update) (and not sure if just HD SW and/or HD Cards) still will show NI Maschine/Kontrol in dropdown.
When Maschine HW/SW w MK3 dropped ppl had to update OS to use MK3 hardware, software at time wasn't a problem. AVID Pro Tools is not budging on plugin and DAW intergration, or with MAC. I started with the Mbox and a 6.x version, and have since purchased the online upgrade up to 7.3.1 or so. I feel you bro, I did research couple months ago and basically its like this. I have uninstalled Pro Tools (after some difficulty, had to end up uninstalling Pro Tools, drivers, settings, everything) Now I need to reinstall.
